Joe Jones from Richmond Virginia is an established Therapeutic Foster Care
professional with 14 years of exceptional experience doing what he loves to do best. Professionally, his area of expertise lies in providing a platform where kids from ages 10 - 21 with behavior and mental issues can enhance their lives and create a better atmosphere for themselves. He is passionate about providing these kids with all the truth and tools needed for them to come out of their pits of despair brought upon by their birth parents and other foster parents. Joe hosts a podcast called “The Urban Foster Dad.” With this podcast, he aims to express his surpassing thoughts on vital issues on foster care that is overlooked by the media. Also, his goal is to expose all of the hidden lies and untruths about foster care. Joe devotes all his time, energy, and compassion, listening to these kids talking about what is going on in their life and, in turn, being of support to them. A reputable Consultant, he is sought after by both individuals and agencies for his expertise and aptness to project change into the lives of people.

Hi! I’m Ozzy Adams and I’m originally from Dallas, TX though currently located in the Hampton VA area. I am a helping professional who is invested in empowerment and transformations. Change can be a challenge and it can be uncomfortable to feel vulnerable; however, I am proud to say that I have had the pleasure and privilege to witness and be a part of vast transformations of numerous lives over the past 9 years, not to mention my own.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC), I have assisted many men and women with rehabilitation from addiction, incarcerations, mental illness, and trauma. I majored in Rehabilitation Counseling and Psychology with a minor in Substance abuse, which has enabled me to have a broad perspective and a wide scope in being an effective helping professional.

Hi! I'm Alicia a Licensed Qualified Mental Health Professional certified with adults and children(two separate certifications). I have a Masters in Human Service Counseling with a specialization in Marriage and Family. With over 13 years experience. Im currently in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program for LPC in Richmond Virginia.
Behavioral Problems in children involve a pattern of disruptive behaviors that last for at least 6 months and cause problems in school, at home, and in social situations. These problems interfere with their normal day-to-day activities and the activities of the classroom. Behavioral problems include but are not limited to temper tantrums, bullying, stealing, lying, and destroying property, defiance, and disobedience.

Urban Foster Dad, Joe Jones hosts this inspiring show about how communities can come together to bring dignity and hope to children in the foster care system. The podcast will be raw, true an uncut, so be prepared. Guests will include former and current youth in foster care, foster parents (tell your story, we will not judge, we only need to know your first name & state), anyone touched by the foster care system, child welfare advocates, and everyday people working to improve the lives of kids in care. 80% of the sessions will be one on one with me.
